Minutes of Meeting – 03/08/2024

As informed on 01.08.2024, the first meeting of Academic Council was held on 03.08.2024 at 3:00 P.M. in board room at Kashi Institute of Technology, Varanasi. The meeting was chaired by DirectorDr. Gaurav Sinha, Chairperson of Academic Council

Director Dr. Gaurav Sinha initiated the proceedings of the meeting with welcome to all the members for participating in the meeting. Dr. Gaurav Sinha presented the agenda items of the meeting for suggestions/approval from the members of Academic Council. The following points were discussed in the meeting:

Agenda 1: Fee fixation for the courses of session 2024-25.

After thorough discussion with all the members, the fee as recommended by Fee Committee for session 2024-25 has been approved. (Annexure-1)

Agenda 2: Discussion on Curriculum for session 2024-25.

A detailed discussion has been held on Curriculum given by different Board of Studies for session 2024-25.

Agenda 3: Approval of new programs of study leading to Degree and/or Diplomas.

Director Dr. Gaurav Sinha (Chairperson of Academic Council) has informed that the Statutory Council (AICTE, New Delhi) has approved various UG, PG and Diploma Courses for session 2024-25 (Approval Letter of AICTE is attached as Annexure-3). After thorough discussion with all the members and as per the Clauses 10 of the UGC (Conferment of Autonomous Status upon colleges and Measures for Maintenance of Standards in Autonomous Colleges)Regulations, 2023 it has been decided to start all the UG, PG and Diploma courses as approved byStatutory Council (AICTE, New Delhi) in the session 2024-25. The information starting of the courses will be informed to the parent University (Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow).

The meeting ended with thanks to Chair and all the members of Academic Council for their enthusiastic participation and giving valuable suggestions.
